Not that exciting really...it's been in the shop for about three months and I haven't driven it in about two...I'm just gonna have it for like a few days and then I'm gonna go drop it back off...so I'm just chillin like a villain up in Sonora right now

Well I hate driving to Gila Bend...the 8 sucks out there and it hella smells...but what...like the 86 to the 10 or whatever...it's all good from Gila Bend on out to Phoenix. Yuma to San Diego sucks though too...man...whole drive from NoCal down to SD is cool, but once you get out of SD and you head down the 8 to Yuma...it just sucks because you're in the desert and there's nothing too look at...except the border hoppers:biggrin:

Well it's kind of a sponsor...the motorsports shop I go to hooks it up at 15% above cost or cheaper...I'm in good with the owners, but I earned it too...not like I knew them before and they just decided to kick down.

But I don't have any sponsors from manufactuers though...normally gotta have a photo shoot in the near future...epsecially with civics...shhh...they're a dime a dozen in the show scene.

I am hoping to get hooked up with a steering wheel though...supposedly this girl from the motorsports shop I go to showed a guy from one of their distributors my car and he said if I put a small sticker on the side of my car, he'd hook it up with a steering wheel.

did that sentence make any sense? I'll probably get a Momo, but you know I don't think it will go through so I'll probably just end up buying my own later on...don't think my luck is good enough to get anything free...the only things I've gotten free were my altezza taillights and my new M3 style mirrors

I actually bought a Momo wheel back in Japan...first time I went to Autobacs I think...they had the shift knob I wanted and the steering wheel I wanted (Momo Commando) but they didn't have the color I wanted (blue and black) so I had them order it and it came in in about a week...crazy thing about over there is that they'll order stuff for you and they don't require that you put money down...sucks though...ordered a set of Teins for a friend's si...like $1,200 and he never bought them...needless to say, I never went back:biggrin:

about the steering wheel though...I ended up selling it over here because I didn't want to part with my air bag yet...

Yep that was me my tire was blown out on my civic so I had Mike Hamblin bring me a spare so I got the car home and ordered 2 new tires this morning. I had to take the Street Bike to work this morning.

I'm actually hoping to get sponsored for a steering wheel right now. I guess last week a guy from XXXXXXXXXXX Distributing came into XXXXXXXXX Motorsports to see how they're doing. This motorsport shop goes through them for quite a few parts so I guess he just stopped by to build the rapport between the shops up.
Well anyway, my friend from the motorsport shop asked the guy if his company sponsored people. I guess he said they do sponsor a bit, so she showed him my car and told him what was up with it. She also mentioned that she thought one of the next things I wanted to get was an aftermarket steering wheel. I guess if I do one of their stickers on the side of the car, they're gonna hook it up. I just say this because we're talking about steering wheels and I did that post about Sponsorships. I'm making the distributing company a sponsorship proposal right now.

Hope I'm not sounding conceited by saying all this. To be honest, I don't think anything will come of it. I'm sure they'll help me out where they can, but I seriously doubt I'll get anything for free. Being they're a distributor and not the actual manufactuer, I can't expect them to give me anything free, because they still have to buy it.

So basically, if anyone things I'm being conceited, I just put myself in check:smile:
