1929 Oldsmobile model f-29 oil leak

I am looking to buy an Oldsmobile model f-29 and the engine has a throttle shaft that runs through the block, where it enters has a leak that is quite substantial. Does anyone know how it is sealed and if it will be too difficult to repair the leak?
