2006-2009 Pontiac Torrent 3.4L V6 Spark Plug Removal
Tools:
Tape and marker
5/8 spark plug socket
3in, 6in, extensions
Torque Wrench
Flat Head Screw Driver
Procedure:
Remove engine Cover. Taking your tape and marker label all the wires plugged into the coils by cylinder. (marked on coil) Remove those wires from the coils while fully pulling out wires labeled 1, 3, 5. You then want to remove the oil cap and neck, good practice will put a clean rag over slightly in it to keep dirt and debris out. In the back of the motor you will then want to unclip the wiring harness using a flathead to allow full access to the rear. You then need to go by feel in the back to remove the spark plugs. Torque Spec is 11ftlbs.
