Can't identify this device

Good morning - I'm new to forums, so please let me know if I'm not in the right place... I traded for a nice 2013 Durango which I love, but I lost a few of the bells and whistles. I was sad to discover it didn't have uconnect, but have a work around coming. In the meantime I noticed this small (bluetooth?) device mounted by the headlight switch. It doesn't seem to do anything, but then I also don't know what it should do! Can anyone identify this and let me know it's functionality? It blinks, but the photo caught it with the blink "on".
Thanks!

I agree with you, it appears to be a hands-free kit for bluetooth, but I'm not sure why since your 2013 Durango should already have handsfree bluetooth built in. Have you considered pulling the panel it's mounted to and following the wires to figure out where it goes/what brand it is/how to uninstall it?

Hi Rod - thanks for your reply. As luck wouldn't have it, this durango is not equipped with uconnect. The radio unit does include satellite radio, but no uconnect. I haven't done any investigation behind the panel. I probably should. My phone cannot "discover" this device, so I have to wonder if something else is missing. But it's definitely not doing me any good and blinks brightly at night. I'll do a little more digging. Appreciate the info!

Like any other bluetooth device you have to figure out how to get it into pair mode for your phone to discover it. Once paired your phone should remember it everytime after that.
