Hello, i'm Dean 14 year old and a proud owner of a BMW cabrio E30 325I from 1986.
At first sorry for my bad English i'm dutch.
To start of this car has been in my garage for atleast 9/10 years without beïng driven in when my friend and i decided to get it out and start working on it we came to a point where the car wont start, we did this for 2 days now. The battery works fine for the dashboard and the speakers running on atleast 600/1000watt wich ofcourse wont take as much as the engine to start. We cant start it by pushing it (atleast for now)we did try it for about 10meters and i did want to start! When trying to start it with the key it'll make 2 ticking sounds but stops there. We're trying to start it by starting cables tomorrow to see if the battery is strong enough. Also there's a "check" sign on my dashboard flashing + there's a oil light on my dashboard wich shows it doesn't have enough, wich i checked but it seems more then enough. Now can it be that it has a safeguard/protection so it wont start when it isn't enough?
If anyone knows how to fix this problem it would be appreciated.
Thanks!
MVG. Dean
