My wife and I just bought a 2010 Acadia last Friday from a reputable GM dealer in a "nearby" town (bought our Yukon from them, had good luck with it).
We get the Acadia home and the drivers rear window won't operate from the Drivers' seat controls. So we call the salesperson, no problem get it in to look at it at your local dealer and we'll cover it. GREAT!!
Next day the Passenger Window was 1/2 way down and won't roll up! Both switches (drivers and pass.) just "buzz" when you try to operate... So I opened the door and placed both hands on each side of glass and lifted as my wife operated the switch. Got the window closed without forcing it, seemed to work, just have the shop to look at it.
The Acadia made it into the shop yesterday, told him go over EVERYTHING. I get a phone call about the switch, its bad. BUT... mechanic asks "How long has the Service Engine Soon" light been on?" HUH?
They put the scanner on it and turns out that the Cam Chain is stretched and is now throwing a P0008 code. AND the Codes were cleared just before we purchased the vehicle.... Not very happy right now.
Sorry for the rant...
Any other issues we need to be looking for...

I went on there... wow. I am starting to wonder if we bought the right vehicle...
Timing Chains, Rack and Pinions, Transmissions...
I am sure they are not all bad, need to keep reading to find the positive ones.
Thanks!
