High RPM

2002, 3.0 L FlexFuel. Normally, tach reads 750 at idle. Recently, noticed it is at 1200-1300. If I put it in N or P, it goes up to 1900-2000 RPM. Took the NEG battery cable off to reset the computer. Reconnected and RPM is back to 750. Wonder if it will go back up once I drive it to work tomorrow. Curious why my RPM was up so high. Anyone have this happen or know what made it go up?

Update: RPM behaved for nearly a year after pulling the NEG battery terminal (resetting the computer). Started doing it again about a week or so ago. :screwy:

Got a CEL; P1121, TPS not agreeing with MAF. After watching several YouTube videos, bought some MAF sensor cleaner and went wild on everything in the intake area. MAF was pretty dusty. Reset the CEL and have driven it about 300 miles. No CEL, RPMs staying at 750 at idle, getting better MPG also!
