Hi everyone,
I went to a auto shop yesterday to see if they could fix my taillights. After about 2 hours of waiting they told that I have bad bcm and that I need to go to a chevorlet dealership to have it reprogrammed. I plan on buying a used bcm off ebay and replacing my old bcm. I called my local dealership and they told me it would cost $95 to reflash my bcm. Is it possible for me to reflash the bcm myself, so I can avoid paying $95. Ive read on several other forums that i can reflash my bcm by following a couple steps and turning my key in the ignition. Is this true or do I have to pay the $95

I have a 2004 chevy trailblazer LS

No, it is not possible for you to reprogram your bcm. The program software comes directly from GM when use with the tools and computer at the dealer. I'd do some research on using a used bcm also. Some modules that have VIN #'s programmed into them cannot have the VIN re-written, so the can only be used in the vehicle that they were originally programmed with.
