which drift suspension should i get for ny 240.
i think maybe Tein or the GP Sports/Kei-office one. im not sure.

i'm getting either Tein FLEX or JIC FLT-A2's for mine, but i have heard good things about Kei-Office, GP Sports, HKS Hiper etc.

How long have you been drifting?
If you haven't been drifting for long then you do not need true coilovers. It may even be detrimental to your skill in the long run if you haven't been doing it for a long time. True coilovers are really only needed if you're at a level where you can properly tune spring rates, ride height, etc. for a given situation such as moving to a more technical track. If you're unsure about this then you don't need coilovers. If you could benefit from this then your suspension is holding you back and you should get them. :smile:
So if you wants coilovers then do it right the first time and drop the cash for some nice ones. Seeing as how you're looking at Tein and Kei Office you should be alright. Look at the different options each model has and get what would be best for you. It's going to be hard for others to judge your skill level and what you need so remember: when doing anything to your car, you've got the most important and final say in it.

There are heaps of options. Tein are awesome but they are about the stiffest you can get so they aren't very friendly while driving on the road. A few people I know have actually fitted Tein HA coilovers to their cars and then taken them off because they were just too stiff. But if your car is being used primarily for Drift then this probably won't worry you too much. Some other good choices are JIC, Cusco and HKS Hiper Damper. If you go with one of the big names you won't be dissapointed with whichever you choose.

Remember,the kei office/GPsports coilovers are non-adjustable.

my suspension tuning skill could be considered to be OK since i just started about 2 months ago with frends cars. they never complained but i set up their suspension with street driving in mind so i dont know where that puts me. I'm really not trying to pay more than $1100 for a suspension but if its necesary then oh well, ill save more. what about the basic dampers that give a small degree of adjustabilty. would those be a good choice?

i've always been told that something relatively cheap like tokico 5-way adjustables are more than enough to start out with.

yeah i could of swore i saw the at autoimaging or eccentric-motorsports for $1200 - $1400 at the most but there not there anymore :( o well though
