I just came across these photos of the prototype I haven't seen before
http://beemaxmacau.com/McLaren.htm
It appears this is going to be a cooperative kit between BeeMax/ Aoshima in the same way the new Toyota Celica kit is.

Has any one got the Toyota Celica kit yet ? I'm wondering how the quality is.

I got the Toyota, it's not a bad kit but it's far from tamiya quality...
details are poor and hollow parts give me the feeling that it's made to "be visible when not hidden"...
It's close to SimilR or Belkit but Belkit is more detailed.
That said there is nothing IMO that would make me eliminate this Celica kit from my wishlist. :icon16:

It's an interesting question, Fujimi has a kit of the MP4/2 coming out in the next month or so too.
I have a couple of the Fujimi Formula 1 kits so whereas they are nice in that they are filling a void, their mold quality isn't great and they require a little extra to make a decent curbside out of them.
Right now, I am debating whether to scoop up the Fujimi offering as soon as it is available or waiting to see the quality of the Aoshima/Beemax offering when it is released and deciding then - either way I must add an MP4/2 to my collection.

Mmmm doesn't look too bad. Not sure how it compares to Fujimi's Monaco kit coming soon. Maybe smart money might've been to do Senna's Toleman from the same race, instead of the MP4. That would make a nice double
