97 civic hx cvt

I am looking for some input from anyone who has exprience overhauling these mv4a
automatics. here is a little background.
Symptoms:
Car surges foward when it comes to a rolling stop, then slips on take off.
When reverse is selcted, there is a hi pitched whining noise, and also surges when stopping and taking off.
Once engaged, car has excelent throttle response, acceleration, and power.
I already...
Drianed fluid (red).
Removed pan, (no metal, only a bit of very fine black grit)
Replaced both filters, (very dirty).
Refilled with valvoline cvt fluid.
This made no improvment, Got it back up in the air now, ready to pull it out.
Any info would be greatly appreaceated, espeacialy $ and time saving tips, areas to focus on, good (cheep) part suppliers.

Well,
I pulled trans, disassembled it, inspected all the clutch plates.
Found nothing.
I even measured the thickness of the plates,and end play clearances.
All good.
Gona put back in. If anyone thinks of something, let me know.
