-I'm going to do this because I hate the body of the rx-8 with those stupid 4 doors, but I like its new concept of rotary, most strong and less thirsty, with better performances.:tongue:

If you weren't in Italy I'd ask for the Vespa, then I'd not have to bother with a spare wheel, if a tire goes flat I'd just pull out the scooter and ride. Sorry about your grandmother - at least she was rich and generous.

well if I had 40k your plane maybe feasible, but it would probably take up all your money, then when it breaks, you can't fix it lol....

Spend 20k and make a decent car... if your in drifting I assume you know about the S chassis cars.... 20k including purchase price would make an awesome S13/14 Silvia.

If your serious about an FD with an engine swap..... check out these guys from Petit Racing. My dad has a shop accross the street from them and I see some pretty wicked stuff. These guys basically build race cars for sebring etc... and they do some cool street cars too. They have a stretched FD limosine that is actually fast, but would interest you the most is what they call the Banzai Rx-7.

They put in a 3 rotor and turbocharge it.

They build a new crossmember for the engine and mount everything so it looks stock. These guys do some quality work!

I inherited 75k from my mother when she passed last sept - I invested it and since I am only 19 I will be able to retire with over 25 million. That is also assuming I put no more money in either.

anyway to answer luka's question.....since from your other potsts you said you want to move in the US i would get a new evo 8....after your integrale the evo should feel very natural.....plus you would own another rally legend

I have no respect for people like this guy. He is happy that his grandma died so his lazy ass wont have to work for anything. And to top it off, he is bragging about how she left him money.

I'm sick of people buying rotaries that dont know what they are doing. Everytime something goes wrong with them, they take them to someone else to get it fixed that doesnt know what they are doing. That is why there are so many in junk yards right now. If people knew anything, there would be a hell of a lot more of these cars on the road.

Parts don't make a car, it's the building and tuning the really count. There are so many differences between a street car with lots of new parts and an actual professional race car that no one ever mentions. look at this Corolla, only 210HP and it cost $100,000 not counting the incredible amount of money that would go into labour if you had someone else do it.

Um, lets see here, you drive a Cougar. Therefore you are obviously an uninformed consumer and it would be a waste of my time to come up with a list of pros and cons between these two engines. If you cannot come up with the simple logic of why you should have bought something else, then there is no way you can fathom the information i can pull out for you.

Besides, I was making one observation about one isolated incident where an EVo with less than 5K miles grenaded its engine...

hehe, it is a turbo... in my shed... its as big as the rotor housing! its from a semi. I'm not going to use it, i just think its cute.

Calling the 4G63 unreliable is stupid- where I come from 4G63's and 13B's etc. are far more common than in the US- and trust me- 13B's are far more prone to blowing up than 4G63's.

Luka lives in Italy- like myself- Rotaries are extremely rare over here- and bugger all people know anything about them- if Luka did get a Rotary it'd be a great chance for him to learn about them- and how they work- all you need is motivation.

While the Lancer Evo and Galant VR4 (Gen 1) I have never hear of having such a problem:confused: Really- you HAVE to run them on 96 or 98- I think the whole detuning of the 4G63 for the US market fuel could have something to do with it

Hmmmmmm just on the cylinder thing he stumbled over an obstacle there- he called it a cylinder because he couldn't find the English word for statore- which I'm not too sure what it means either- it's not Combustion chamber- or Rotor housing- but it is an understandable blunder ;)

It is a good thing on Luka's part that he attempts English- it is clearly a second language and he is learning- in a perfect world the whole worl would speak on language- but we don't so we must try to be understanding of that :smile:

hey dayna, just out of curiosity, do you have more details on that guy who blew up his evo? im wondering if maybe he's just an idiot and cranked the boost up too high and/or didn't break the motor in properly. and aren't you supposed to change the oil after the first 1000 miles or somewhere around there to get rid of all the crap that gets in your oil when you're breaking in a new motor?
