Hello guys,
this is my new project which isn't for myself but for someone that bought this model with the thought it was a die-cast model..... No luck for him, but lucky for him I want to build it for him instead.
Yesterday he drove to me on the real GPZ and I did made some reference pictures:

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/8857/referentie%20(2)%20(Custom).jpg

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/8857/referentie%20(3)%20(Custom).jpg
The modelkit is from Aoshima in scale 1/12. It looks like a good kit.

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/8857/inhoud%20(2)%20(Custom).jpg
I inmiddiatelly looked into the kit and noticed that the decals are not the same as the real bike.... So I can't make it the same like the real GPZ. But it was no problem for him, as long as I build it properly and maybe could replicate the exhausts. Well I'm going to paint it like the boxart with some metallic grey in the middle of the decals.
I started to glue the two tank parts together and sanded the mold away. I sprayed some filler to check if everything is sanded smooth.

Next update.
First I primered all the parts and painted the fairings gloss black with Humbroll enamel paint.
Then I masked of the black areas and painted the Porsche Slate Grey. I also added the decals.

New update guys.
First I completed the frontfork.
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/8857/afronding%20(1)%20(Custom).jpg
The rear/side fairing needed to be glued together before installation. I had a lot of problems to do this, but with the help of a strong clamp, the job was cleared.
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/8857/afronding%20(2)%20(Custom).jpg
I also mounted the engine and rearlink to the frame.

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/8857/afronding%20(5)%20(Custom).jpg
And testfitted the fairings to check the colorscheme :)

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/8857/afronding%20(8)%20(Custom).jpg
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/8857/afronding%20(9)%20(Custom).jpg
http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/8857/afronding%20(10)%20(Custom).jpg
Since the real bike has new exhaustpipes from a Ducati Monster, I had to replicate them. First I cut off the original exhaustpipes and made two new ones from a fineliner pen.
I cutted them at the right size. Now they were still round and I needed 2 oval exhaustspipes, so I putted the between the bankscrew and heated them with a hairdryer. Now I had the right shape and I closed the holes on both sides with plasticcard. I sanded them in shape and made 2 new holes in them. On one side I added a aluminium exhaust tip and on the other side I added a piece of sprue.
I fixed the exhaustpipes on the originial exhaust collector with a piece of a screw.

http://modelbrouwers.nl/media/albums/245/8857/afronding%20(15)%20(Custom).jpg
Meanwhile I glued the fairings in place, but I had a lot of frustration to add the big bugspoiler since there's just a little area to add glue.
Next update will be a completed bike :D
