I have a 1998 chevy blazer - 2wd - was backing out of the driveway this morning and it died

no lights, power, sounds -no turnover - nothing - totally dead -

put power directly to the starter and the engine turnsover,

not sure where to locate the burnable fuse link?

anyone - help?

Check the battery cables at the battery for being clean and tight. Check for power from the battery to the underhood fuse box. Also check the ground cable from the battery to the eng.

checked all of that - battery is new - changed it out with another car battery just in case -still nothing - cables are clean - tight - ground is in place and no cut or burned -

So is there power at the fuse box? If so you will need to then check for power at the ignition switch. A schematic would be helpful to you, if you don't already have one. The ignition switches were pretty common problems in the these.

I want to thank you for your help - with the battery idea - I decided to start again from the battery on - when I took the battery out - I also removed the battery tray- and below that was another black box - which apparently has a fuse in it - I replaced that this morning - cleaned the black box and put the battery back together - and the car starts - it didn't at first - I had the ignition positioning messed up - but once I got that put back right - the car starts again -

If I hadn't gone back to the battery and started again - (thank you again) - I wouldn't have seen the other box - I do not know how I missed it the first time except that I hate this car - and I was seeing red at 5am with a dead car and job to be at -

SO - I know I said it before - but thank you-
