Weird A/C Thing!

This is the 2nd time in about a month, I'm driving in my 05 z71 and hit a nice bump (saying turning onto another street that has a dip in it that jolts you a little) and my A/C goes from blowing cold air to hot. Not just hot vent air but heater hot air. Panels still shows AC is on at 70 degrees. I've tried turning the AC off/on, fan off/on, all button on the controls but only thing that brings my A/C back is switching the actual truck off and back on.
Years ago, I did get a error code that had something to door with a door that effects the airflow. Maybe an actuator door or something. Never had an issue though. Could this be the problelm?

the doors in the air box are motor controlled . these are small electric motors. when the doors move this would require the controller to change the voltage to them . most times when these fail it is with the motors not operating when changing temp. since you have a intermittent change in temp I would say your ac computer controller is defective or possibly connectors to/from it.

Is the ac computer controller hard to get to? Are the connects easy to check or is it just a replace it deal.

most times it is a replacement . these ac computer automatic units don't last. a well known defect. I ordered my 2000 with manual control ac because of this fact.
I would get a manual and replace computer /check connectors to it .
this is cheaper than dealership .
