Nav Radio Re-Programing Question

The problem is the volume is on max and I can't change it with the volume knob or the steering wheel controls (but I can mute it.) Has anybody ran into this and can tell me the procedure so I can relay it to the Tech-2 tech? I have found that I have better luck with the dealer if I give them instructions.
Thanks,

I got a Nav radio #15882767 out of an '07 Tahoe, had it unlocked and installed it into my '09 Silverado. On Star, XM, GPS, FM and steering wheel controls (except volume) work fine. The problem is the volume is on max and I can't change it with the volume knob or the steering wheel controls (but I can mute it.) I was told the Tahoe must have had the Bose Lux (smart) amp and I have the Bose Premium (dumb) amp and that the radio needs to be re-programed. Has anybody ran into this and can tell me the procedure so I can relay it to the Tech-2 tech? I have found that I have better luck with the dealer if I give them instructions.
Thanks,

The dealer re-programmed the radio and it works!
