98 88 LS ABS light on

Just picked up a 98 88 LS. The ABS (http://oldsmobileforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=12422#) light is on. Is there a cheap/free way to find the code on the ABS? I know on some old cars a paper clip would do for the ECM codes. I have an OBDII scanner but it apparently does not do ABS.

Only a dedicated abs function scanner will pick up those codes, no short cut here.

Drat! I really don't want to buy a new scanner....
