91 Town Car Problems (After Battery Replaced)

This morning I discovered that I had left the door to my 91 Town Car open in the garage for almost 2 days, draining the battery to absolutely zero. I called AAA, they came to jump it, and long story short, I decided to go with a replacement battery. Car started fine, ran fine, so I drove it to the store and back (about 8 miles each way). One thing I noticed was that the blower no longer worked (on Auto or on any other setting from low to high, Vent, A/C, Defrost)
When I got back to the house, as soon as I put the car in park, it stalled. If try to restart it, it stalls almost right away unless I apply a little bit of throttle.
After doing some research online, I've seen that sometimes the engine control system can 'forget' the idle setting if the battery is replaced, so you have to let it reset itself by running in park for about 5-10 minutes with your foot lightly on the gas pedal. I'm going to go and do that after I've finished posting here.
So, I guess my questions are: Is the issue with the blower related to the issue with the throttle? Is there another problem related to replacing the battery that could have caused the issue?
Thanks for your help - I'm not really a big car person, but if I'm going to bring the vehicle in to get worked on, I at least like to have some idea of what might be going on so I don't get ripped off.

Check the fuses for that blower problem.. it may have been ON when the power was restored and blasted a fuse.
