wondering if anyone can help with some electrical issues im having, a test light tells me that electricity is going into the coil, but never coming out on the other end. so i replaced the coil. but i still have the same problem? im confused and dont know a whole lot about cars, but i know if there is never any fire going TO the distributor then obviously the spark plugs arent getting it either.

heres what ive done so far in referance to this problem, brand new: coil, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor.

any ideas? im stumped, car cranks hard and all electronics work inside.

It looks like a cylinder slightly smaller than a "C" size battery, located in the panel of fuses under the dash near your parking brake foot pedal

Hi,Re. 1987 lebaron,it is a 1988 2.5,( My mistake)but an interesting discovery today might be the problem. I finally got spark to the Dist. but when checking the cap I notice the blades on the plug end that goes into the cap do not clear the underside of the cap. I can:t figure out how the spark from the rotor even worked so tomorrow I am taking then cap and wires back to the store where thy were bought recently by the former owner and get them to match the cap and wires. Being a Ford and Chev. guy I never had a Chrysler product before s I guess there is a lot to learn..
