Trouble Starting 92 Lebaron Convertible

My father recently took possession of my grandfathers 92 lebaron that he wasnt driving any more.
Recently, it has had a lot of trouble starting when shut off for a while.
what happens is that after a few hours it will have to crank and crank before finally getting fuel. I am fairly certain that fuel is the problem because the starter is strong, and once it is running, it runs well.
- the car has a new fuel filter, but that didn't fix the problem.
- there are no OBVIOUS fuel leaks, but i havent really taken the time to clean the underside and check thoroughly.
- once the car is running, it has good power and top end. no stuttering or hesitation even all the way up to redline
- the fuel pump primes when the key is turned to the 'on' position, turning the key off and on again will prime the pump again, but it will not do it 3 times. according to my dad, this seems to help somewhat getting it started but i have not been able to really test it out myself.
I dont have access to the car but will be visiting my dad to try and help him get it working properly. any ideas what i should check when i go help him with it?
i am not familiar with the car at all, but am generally pretty good mechanically, i just was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
my thinking was:
1) the fuel pump primes, so it probably isn't electrical
2) the car has power up top, so the pump isn't weak or on its way out (hopefully)
3) once the car is running, it will start right back up so it must be a slow leak of some kind
does this car have a returnless injection system or is there a regulator going back to the tank?
could the fuel regulator be the problem?
obviously i will check common things like plugs and air filter, but do you have any other suggestions?

If you think fuel pressure is the issue, use a gage and check fuel pressure, key on engine off, after it sits over-night. I don't know litre size of engine? I looked at 3.0L, the fuel pressure spec was 46--50 psi. Any applicable trouble codes?

no codes
Where should i check the pressure? fuel rail i guess?
do they all use the same threads ect...

If no schrader valve on the fuel rail, You will have to tee gage into supply line. It's high pressure. Make sure no pressure on system before you take anything loose.

ok great. thanks.
once i check the fuel pressure, assuming that i have pressure, does that pretty much narrow it down to injectors?
is there anything else i should check?

I wouldn't worry about the injectors at the moment. With engine cranking, check for spark at the plugs and fuel pressure when the problem is ongoing. If no fuel pressure, check for voltage and ground at the fuel pump connector.
