My mother 2005 Century is done strange. You start the car and the drivers window will roll down. You roll it up and it will roll back down again. Roll up and hold the switch in up when window is up for a minute or so and it will stay up for a bit, but again roll down.
She notice some water dripping out of the front corner of the door.
Think the motor may of got a short in it.? Also for a year her power mirrors have not worked either. Is there a board in the door that maybe shorted. Also anyone can tell me how to remove the panel to get access to the motors/ I'm worried with the plastics of breaking.

Sounds like a bad master switch.....
Usually, both mirrors don't fail at the same......so if you have power and ground to the switch, bad mirror switch....

You mean a master switch for both windows and mirrors or just the mirror switch.
Also do you know what other cars have these switches that a person can interchange. SHe is a senior and her budget is tight.
When her mirrors quit a garage quoted her over $300 to fix.
I can get the switch covers off it that is where the master switch is.?

By master switch, I'm talking about the power window switch in the driver's door.....I believe the mirror switch is a separate switch....

Ok. That is easy to get at. The mirror switch is also in the same control panel, but seperate connection.
When she gets back from her trip with the car.
I uill try and fix it for her.

We got a master switch from a wrecker. The windows work now. The remote mirror still does not work, But we can live with that. It has not been working for the past year.
Good thing is working now, Winter is a coming.
