Tamiya Toyota 86 GT...slightly tuned.

Had no idea where I was going with this build when I opened the box....after custom mixing the green some ideas began to surface.

To mildly tune it a started with putting some Ford Focus hood vents in and it also has a parts box intercooler down front. I replaced the plastic front grille with Tamiya's mesh which is also in the hood vents. I painted the engine bay in as stock because there is some visibility through the screens....but the hood is glued on so it is effectively a curbside build.

To break up the bright green I added black decal stripes on the sides and painted the rear section in between the tails semi gloss black. I also painted the front metal transfer emblem black and added some black around the tail bezel lenses.

The rims are Fujimi 18" Volk's painted dark gunmetal metallic, the brakes are Fujimi old type.

Interior is stock and painted Acryl Aircraft Interior Black with some gunmetal accents.

The kit seemed to be very well done, everything fit very well.

That is the first build I've seen of Tamiyas' new kit. Looks like its a nice kit and you have done it justice

I like the color and looks great with the darker wheels. The decals and vents really set it off. Looks great!
