What's up all, didn't know where to begin so would like some suggestions from past experiences. My two brothers and I have been given a rare opportunity. My grandpa past on some months ago and his son (my uncle) approached us about taking over his 1962 deville. Rather then see it leave the family or worst the junkyard, we are gonna do what we can to get it rolling again. The problem is its been parked for the last 20 years outside exposed to the elements and wildlife. My question is, who and/or what would be the proper way to rid the car of any mice, rats, snakes or any other creatures. Also, there are a few nests in the engine bay so there's a good chance hantavirus (among others) could be an issue. We need to remove any critters before we can transport the car to our garage so as not to infest our home. Thanks in advance for any help...

Rubber gloves, disinfectant, breathing masks, check for chewed up wire harnesses and padding under the seats also. Recently re- did a 59 Seville in my shop but it was not as bad as you describe. After it is cleaned up be concerned with a seized engine, rusted floors and/or frame.
