Okay, our fuel pump went out again!!!! The first time it went out, an aftermarket pump was put in (at of cost of $700.00 parts and labor) and now it went out. I am going to try and replace it myself. When I do a search for fuel pumps, there are so many out there from under $100.00 to $519.38 (from the GMC dealer).
Can anybody give me a recommendation for a quality manufactorer of fuel pumps other than GM?
Thank you so much

No, get a Delphi unit or GM.

If you get an aftermarket, you will be replacing it again very soon. Spend the extra now and buy a stock Delphi unit and do it once. You can pick one up at Autozone for a considerably cheaper price than the dealership. I just replaced mine in a 2004 Yukon XL, and it ran me around $180 for a flex fuel pump. The gas only version does cost roughly about $50 more (give or take a little $). Taking my time, it took me about 2 hours to swap it out in my truck. You may need a 2nd person to help hold the tank when putting it back up. Good luck!
