1999 Expedition rear air suspension trouble

My 1999 Expedition E.B. has the air suspension on all 4 corners. My problem is that the rear air bags inflate all the way until they top out which makes for a terrible ride. the front works as she should. If the control module went bad, would the system work at all? If the relay went out, would she work at all? My compressor works great. I just cant get the rear bags to self level. I pulled the sensor off the rear, removed the boot and the arm came out of the sensor head, is that a two piece unit, or is it broken?

It sounds like a load level sensor isn't doing it's job!'
See AF ->Lincoln->Town car & search ''air suspension'' , Lincoln Town car was the 1st to have rear Air springs, so there's alot good data on AF.
www.arnottindustries.com (http://www.arnottindustries.com) for parts.

Will the rear height sensor from a Towncar be the same as the Expedition?

Good to hear. If it isn't too much trouble, it is helpful to someone else in the future doing a search to hear what you did to solve the problem.
