I have a 98 mustang 3.8l just had the clutch replaced about 3000 miles ago because the throwout bearing went bad. I got a f1 stage 1 clutch kit from ebay (the clutch kit contained a seco pressure plate with a rabco clutch disk, and a timken TOB, not sure who made the pilot bearing). but anyway when i start the car and let it idle i hear like a tapping noise coming from the tranny area, about every 2-3 seconds. It doesnt go away whether the clutch is disengaged or not and doesnt get any faster if i rev it up, seems to stop after driving for awhile tho. It didnt do it right away after replacing the clutch but started after the break in period(700 miles according to the manufacturer). Everything works fine just kinda annoying and not sure if i should be worried about it or not. Any thoughts would be appreciated. oh and also my cable quadrant is bad (clutch pedal rattles sometimes driving at low rpms) not sure if that could be causing it or not. Thanks
