1992 Buick Century Electrical problem

I have a 1992 Buick Century (wife's car)

The other day the Seat belt light started flashing and staying on while driving, and the dome light started to do the same, so I took out the bulb on the seat belt light but now the dome light won't shutoff.

Sometimes when I push in on the instrument cover below the shift guage I will hear a click and then a few minutes later off will go the light, sometimes a little bit later I will hear another click and it will come back on again,

Is their a way to shutoff this light and just use it with the manual switch?

I took out the bulbs but it still drained the battery , so the power must still be there??

Any help would be greatly appreciated, by the way , evertime I have a problem with any of my autos I come and check out this site and I have learned quite a bit...... It is a nice standby for me, Thanks:jerking:

try cleaning the "bus" connectors...there are two...one under each door opening plate...pull the door sill plate...fold the carpet back...it is wrapped at the factory in electrical tape...it is black and about 3 inches long it is flat (kinda like an african boobie in national geographic magazine). Pull out the flat connector and clean it well.
