hi there,
a friend's 96 caravan with 40k miles recently busted the tranny cooler inside the radiator. The radiator was replaced and a coolant flush was done as well as a tranny flush. The van worked fine for 100 miles but then the tranny started to slip.
Do you guys think that the tranny is toasted or should we try another flush?
My friend was quoted $920 for a tranny rebuild.
p.s. fluid level is ok but color is more of a faded pink instead of a nice red color.

Tranny is toast. Dodge transmissions are weak at best for the most part and I have yet to see one survive this type of malfunction.

Does not matter what make model or year of car,,,,,,,,coolant in the tranny destroys clutch frictions,,,they don't like water,,,,clutch compresses,,,,makes steam and poof,,,friction material gone!!!!!! go figure.......

Agreed, that trans is done. If it were mine, I'd make sure I had towing on my insurance and I would drive it till it drops.
