I have had some issues with the oil pumps in the 98 and 99 Cutlass. So i went out and got an Milling High Volume Oil Pump.

Thing is after i got everything back together and started it up.... oil starter pouring out.The oil seems to be coming from around the starter.

So my big question is would the new pump increase the pressure enough to cause my Rear main seal to blow? or anything else to go wrong.

Make sure the oil is not coming from the plug in the area of the intake (where the old distributor hole is located). It's not uncommon for leaks to develop there.

It is possible for the higher pressure created by the HV pump to get past the rear main, but that would mean that the rear bearing has a problem as well since the pumped oil should route through the drilled passages in the rear main cap, around the bearing shell.
