1999 jgc recirc door placement when jgc is off

I have a 1999 JGC that had the blend doors, evap replaced about 3 years ago. I now smell antifreeze when I drive , the passenger carpet is wet (heater core leaking no doubt). I get hot air when I turn the dual zone temp up, I get cold air when I turn the temp down. I get air blowing on the windshield when I select defrost, but all my windows are fogged up.
I lowered the glove box by depressing the two rubber stops in the glove box. When the box is lowered I can see the recirc door through the vent area. When I have the control in defrost, turn on the ignition, I can see the door move forward, then back if I turn the control off.
It seems like this door may be in the wrong position, but I dont know the correct position it should be in.
When the jeep is on, by depressing and holding the AC & RECIRC buttons and turning the drivers temp control knob clockwise one click, the module should go through a series of tests. Mine shows error codes 51, 52.
This means recirc door travel too far and not enough.
Will someone that has a working JGC with the dual heat zones, lower their glove box and tell me if the door up under the dash that you can see on the right most side through the vent under the dash moves away or towards the rear of the vehicle with the control in DEFROST?
Please
Thanks for the work to help me out
