Interesting thought--burn the koran or just hit the delete key?

This guy has a good blog about the current outcry about the proposed koran burning in FL.

I do think that it's interesting that the first and most prevalent response most muslim countries can come up with is death threats and burning in effigy of whatever/whomever offended them. Islamists do seem to be far thinner skinned than most of the Christians who respond to offense and jibes.
I guess I could take that 2 ways: Christians are better at turning the other cheek, or they're simply not as zealous as most followers of Mohammed.

Some observations..... The Koran makes a big deal about the duty of Muslims to defend their faith against attacks by infidels.... I seem to recall such statements are made in the first few pages of the book.
Therefore, Muslims have been commanded by their god to protest actions like Koran burning.
Frankly, I find their protests depressing and intolerant... but I also find the attitude of the FL minister annoying. He is being deliberately provocational and self-promoting.
Finally, remember the fuss a few years ago about many Americans seeking to prevent the American flag from being burned? Don't the Muslims want the same respect for the Koran as many Americans want for their flag?

15 minutes of fame. What's not to like?
Don't the Muslims want the same respect for the Koran as many Americans want for their flag?
Apparently. They're willing to kill everybody to get it.
We just kill for corporate interests and political gain. :evillol:

Personally, I suggest we show the same respect for the Koran, as they show for our flag! Do we threaten them with death & destruction for the actions of a few radical terrorist? No, we just accept it as the actions of a crazed minority; however, it does seem that God (at least in this case) works in mysterious & miraculous ways! If Muhammad would possess the same powers, I feel sorry for the FL preacher, should he carry out his recent threats!

Well, one thing is for certain: he wouldn't have needed those freaks to fly the planes into the towers or the Pentagon and none of us would be here now if we didn't convert.
