It's nice , but i like the more sporty and agressive Griffith more , now it's replaced with tuscan which i find a little too extreme when it comes to looks , chimaera , cerbera and griffith are classics...

To be honest I don't think it looks great.. It's "nice" but there's something missing.. The Cerbera certainly has that something, it's a super looking car.. As for the Griffith I never really liked the way it looks. Youre right about the new models. Theyve lost some of the delicacy the older models had and look too extreme.. Better to drive though, so I guess it depends on what your priorities are..

I am currently exploring the options regarding the import of a TVR Tuscon. Does anyone know a Tuscon owner in the states? thanks

You could get it under the show and display clause. That is 2500 miles a year, but at least you could get it.

show and display??
what the hell is the problem in importing european cars to the US? i hear about it all the time... why cant you just buy the car, pay shipping and duties, and thats it, end of story?

Because our governments are bastards. They want the car to be safe (they need to crash test it, they wont accept anyone elses data. Stupid, yes, especially since they could have saved some money). Also, they want it to pass emissions. And they want 5 mph bumpers (if you're willing to pay for it, I dont see why we need them either). They are also going to require OBDII for all new cars, which is again stupid.

So they are dumbasses, not letting in a few hundred or thousand cars, but letting hundreds of thousands of really old cars with nothing on them drive around.

wow.. that sucks.. :(
as for emissions, arent there a lot of gas guzzlers in the states?
what do you mean by 5mph bumpers, and whats OBDII?

We do have gas-guzzlers, but they must meat certain emissions, which are usually stricter than in Japan/Europe.
5 mph bumbers: The car must be able to withstand a 5mph impact and only damage the bumber, and not harm what it hit too much. This has kept many cars out of the US (previous EVO's would have to move the intercooler, or look really dumb. So that probably put the last nail in to coffin of us getting it).

OBDII: On-board diagnostics 2. It just tells you what the engine is doing for the repair guys. Mainly, they are concerned with keeping emissions within acceptable parameters.

Yes, it does suck:(

Yes, I likewise have to put up with painful government restrictions. Except for the crash testing, unless it's a home made. I just have to import and pass vehicle inspection, and emissions, and pay 15.5% tax on it(grumble mumble ass faced crappy bastards)

Oh, and uh, yeah. Come up with the piles of cash to buy it.
