For a couple years now my ABS light would come on during the warmer weather and disable the AWD. I read in a previous post that the wiring harness for the hub assembly was defective and was prone to kinks. I knew it was coming from the driver side front. I removed the outside covering and about 3 inches from the male plug the wires were not coated in the rubber shrink tubing. I assume this was stock from the factory. I did not feel any kinks in the wire. Though it was very hard to tell. I figured since I had nothing to loose I would cut and reconnect the wires. If the problem was in that section of the uncoated wires it appears fixed for now. It was awfully consistant in erroring upon start up and engaging the break pedal.
I assume it would be possible to replace the entire wire harness that comes from the engine, but upon inspection it filters back into a bigger line and don't want to mess with that as of now.
