These Dub City models have arrived in Perth here in western Australia and they look like they're what people are into in a big way. One shop i went to that got them in, sold out in a day :|. Anyways i have two of these models now and am really happy with them :). For once there is a model/brand that comes out with everything like big mags, stereo's and lowered with alot of detail also :). I know buying pre-made isnt what models is about but they are starting to listen to what people want in a pre made car :).

I want a 1/24th McLaren FI GTR and I asked every years to Tamiya with absolutely no response.

I like the way they look also, but I think it may be just a little too low in the back. Still sweet though.:D

they really should be called DUMB city. Theres too much hype on them. but theres no detail. most have medioker paintjobs, 1 piece motor, 1 piece chassis. i really dislike them.

Yep, you sure can, and add you own detail.

It is DUMB that they make the Hondas and Toyotas with the big wheels. I like the trucks. The lady at Wal-Mart told me that they can't keep em in stock. I just hope people just like the models and dont all start attempting to be part of the truck scene. If the truck scene b/c like the import scene and "everybodies" doing it then im gonna call all of them posers and wannabes!

I'm not into the import DUB cars, but I love the Escalades and oldskool cars/trucks. I bought an Escalade that had an extra set of rims. \/\/o0+!
I put them on a Revell Chevy C1500 (looks very similar to mental's)
But I noticed when I was done putting the DUB Escalade together that you can't even see the radiator. So, i took it back apart and removed the radiator. Its so big you could cut it into 4ths pieces and make 4 intercoolers out of it!- with a little work.;) Try it.:sun:

As I said, some people are starting to listen to what people want in a PREMADE car not tamiya kits. As this is what Ive heard voiced over here in some of the model making circles. I agree the engines dont look the best but can always be taken out and something else put it with alot of heavy mods ;). Also the one piece chasis I know isnt the best for models but hey some people dont just look at the undercarriage and admire the work from a normal on all fours position. I also agree that premade cars are alot of fun to strip down and modify eg: paintjobs, detail, different wheels, and anything else you might want to cut and or put into it :). Dub City is not to everyones liking but for a one piece chassis and 1 piece engine they're seling hell fast. My next model will be the Supra :), and or even one of the new dodge rams/2002 silverado utes :).

I'd like to see a 1960 Pontiac bonneville on 22s, in black. But I never see at my hobby store.

I just got a one of those new Dub City BIGBALLERS,(Dodge Ram) and it's 1/18 scale and man it's big :), I like all the stuff on it too including custom inclosed amps with subs on top and also a ps2 controller on the front seat with a fake tv screen in the middle console and on the rear of the seats headrests. also has scale 24 inch rims that have spinning parts over them. In all this is SWEEETT!!! :). I found this one ram in aus after a fair bit of searching, there doesnt seem to be many here atm but when ya find em its a rare occurance :)
