Well after following some bad advice from some other riders i put fuel stabilizer in my bike since i wasnt going to be riding it for a while.
Followed the instructions to pour in with the amount of gas that was in it.
I must of read something wrong and added a little much stabilizer.
I started it & for a while ran but was very smokey like water in a car, people said it will burn out & will run fine.
Well i did that for 3 days & fresh tanks of gas all the time still smoking & felt like it lost a lot of power.
On the 4th day it started & shut down permanently the computer wont let it start at all. I gives off an error.
I have gas in the oil now.
I understand I will have to open her up but what do i look at?
How much torque for each bolt that i put back on?
Any help to start open heart surgery would be appreciated or links to picks of the engine with part# or anything that will help do it myself.
Our local Red winger dealer closed & the nearest one to me is about 100miles away from me now.
Thank you all in advance. J:frown:

when you added the stabilizer, did you take the bike for a quick ride to get it into the injectors, fuel lines and such? If not, then the untreated fuel left in the system may have varnished and clogged up your injectors.

I agree with RichTazz, your old fuel might have gummied up the injectors, that would be a good place to start, also check the owners manual for torque specs on stuff, if you dont have the manual check the internet by typing in your bike then OEB manual. Hope you get it fixed.

Thnx 4 the intrest.
I did runn it for about 10min b4 shutting it down for the winter.
I bought a battery tender, trickle charge to keep the juice in the battery.
I started right up when it did but just was really smoky, white smoke, lots of water leaking out of exhaust.
But have noticed gas in oil, i beleive the sensors in the computer sensed the gas in there & sensed the oil loosing its viscosity & shut it down all togehter from starting. I think.
But if gas is in my oil means a seal somewhere is leaking gas into oil.
I would conclude.
Thnx for the help guys.

How many miles, ridden hard? have you done a compression test to see if you may have an engine issue?

It almost sounds like he might have blow back from cylinders or cylinder. But Richtaz is right you need to have a compression test done.

Ok all we ahve tore into the bike. Pictures will be uploaded later.
We took off the tank took apart all the items that are associated with that hoses clamps all that fun stuff keep track of everything & were it goes cause its easily confused.
But here is an FYI when taking out the pump off the tank that gasket or aka packing seal as they call it in service manuals & the redwing dealer.
((This part is a compression paking gasket so u will need to replace it))
There is this weird thing that looks like steel wool (i hope i speled that right)
WTF? I called the RedWing dealer they said its supose to be a return filter for the gas pump! :uhoh: ok ill take there word for it.
Well there was some old gas that was cleaned out of tank, cleaned the injectors the fuel rail & all hoses were fuel would flow thru including cleaning out the air intakes.
We put her all back together, but found out the pump isnt engaging.
it tried a couple of time but it looks like its cloged so we will be trying to take it a part & clean it this weekend.
But the good news the bike started came back to life.
Thanx every1 for ur patience & the good ideas & help.
P.S. the cylinder walls & air intake flaps & that whole area is coated with molybendum if i spelled that right do not spray carburator fluid in it!
BTw I have the service manual for this type of bike so if any one needs some info from it I have it saved on a thumb drive & comp for easy uploading.

First off i have to apologize I lost all my pics when i upgraded my Iphone.
But i did get the bike running.
I had to do several things anywere & every where Gas leaked into had to be cleaned as the ethonal in gas turned into sap.
Oil was changed fluids were topped off new gas was put in & new pump as the ethanol that went sappy gunked up the gears in the pump.
New battery. new gasket for the pump that mates around the gas tank & pump.
Once this gasket is used it is used u can get away with removing the pump a couple of more times but its a compresion gasket & wears very fast.
Any 1 this may happen to, there is some knowledge on how to clean my way.
Thanx to all that offered up some help i appreciate it very much & gave me a diffrent view to come up with a solution.
Thank you.

Hey! Thanks for the update!
And on a side note: I just realized where you're at! I'm over in Nashville. We should go for a spin sometime! I'm off summers (unless I pick up a part time job) and I've lived in TN for 2+ years now and I've yet to touch the Dragon. :)
