Matching Astro Blue

Hey guys,

It's been ages since I have visited AF. I want to get (back) into scale modelling. I have a nice Revell '69 Camaro Z/28 build in progress and I would like to paint the body a color to match Chevrolet's Astro Blue. I did a brief search and came up with nothing -- anybody have any experience with this color?

Thanks.

Sorry about that triple post. I was having trouble getting the thread up...sorry again. Disregard the other 2 threads. Thanks!

What year is the color? If you have that, you can look for the paint code on paintscratch.com. Once you have the code, you can order a paint match from Zero Paints (in the UK) or Scale Finishes in the US.

Thanks BVC. I checked that out and it led me to believe the color I am searching for was actually called "LeMans Blue", which apparently has a nice match with Tamiya's TS54. Gonna have to give it a try! Thanks for the tip.

Try this. I searched: 1969 astro blue gm paint code. My first car was a 72 Buick GS. It was stratomist blue, Close to your color.
