Well? Anyone think those two Jersy yahoos oughta be booted off tv? Know what Im talkin about...on TNN every weekend, they have that "Power Block" of TV shows about cars, like Car and Driver TV, Horsepower TV, Trucks!, and Super 2nr Tv.
Why cant their be a show on import cars and the like more like Horsepower TV where they focus on do it yourself projects and such. Instead of those two yinyangs talked about the "wicked sick turbo kit" lets see a show on how to put it in!
ah! just thought I'd rant a bit...they really piss me off, there's no respectable how to shows about sport compacts - I dont wanna see a whole show about someone elses car, I wanna know how to do it too.
k Im done, I think.

I have to give a little bit of respect to Super 2ner's those guys actually know what they are talking about and show more than just riced out cars, today's show had a bit of SCCA Rally stuff, and another episode had drifting in it so it's more than just show cars. Other than that, yeah, we need a show like HorsepowerTV for imports.

yeah sorry about that, I musta double clicked by accident er something, I missed the breakdown page. my bad.
but while we're here...there are shows on basic cable, on TNN, Saturday and Sunday afternoons all about cars n such. The one for imports, just doesnt, or very rarely, has anything about how-to for imports. and on the extended cable channels, on Speed TV, they have a Nopi super tuner show, but thats still just "look at this cool car" kinda stuff.
I e-mailed TNN about a change in line up, but to no avail. so everyone e-mail them, there's strength in numbers!
and again, sorry about posting in the wrong forum.

All they ever show on that show is really rice Civics,Accords,or Neons. It pisses me off. They never show skylines, supras, RX-7's, or anything else badass. And those freaking retards that host the show are the worst hosts I've ever seen. They talk in spurts, think everything is "tricked out" and they are just straight up homosexual.

They really bother me I enjoy learning about all cars on the power block but
The 2 of them are so dumb they don't add up to one host. Making all the import shows with rice cars like that give all the import guys a bad name but Horse power TV did a civic ricy looking but had a B swap in it. But it told you how to do the swap real info. But on SupertunerTV it's heres how to put a wing on step 1 pick up super street mag yo. step uumm 2 go to website with mad tyte car stuff. step 3 use daddys credit card to order bookcase/wing. step 4 go to shop that makes mad sick rides that pull flat 17s in the 1/4. I'd love to see a real import show and it would be a great way to learn.

yeah I saw some of that Horsepower TV civic project, awful! I never even saw any follow up episodes, just he exhaust one, and they spent WAAAAY too much money for my liking, though the intake was cool.

However, did anyone see the b18c1 swap on a 5gen civic on horsepower TV this weekend (5/4/03)? That was nice, very sparce as far as needed info, but a few good tips. They put some Zex performance cams and a new clutch on it too.

one episode had a segment on the difference between turbo chargers and superchargers, and the only difference they mentioned was that "this wicked sick supercharger here will get you 40 ponies in yo ride and this turbo charger will get you 50 horses at 20 psi" and I think they were talkin about it on a VW er somethin.
I hate those assholes! I hate them so much! I hope they die from carbon monoxide poisoning while reving their engine because they forgot about exhaust gaskets er something. fuggers. why does the biggest burn out win the biggest award on those damn shows.
and FYI, they found out about drifting and JDM styling/building. they had a show once about drifting, which really just was a couple of assholes doing doughnuts, and the JDM segment was only about spoon and mugen accesseries.
ugh.

those freaking retards that host the show are the worst hosts I've ever seen. I am very much in agreement!! They suXX0rs! You'd think with the level of interest shown in performance cars in NZ,we'd have a decent car show to watch, but no.Just endless bloody DIY programmes. If I were to reclad my car with customwood and build a deck on the back,it might make it onto the box,but otherwise, there's nothing for car enthusiasts[as opposed to racing fans].

I see people with decks on the back of their cars here, only they make them out of aluminum..
BTW: I saw a magazine at my local grocery store yesterday (street performance or something?) It was a special edition, dedicated solely to drifting techniques, how to set your car up, etc.. Ladies and Gentlemen, it's gone mainstream.

Drifting has always been pretty mainstream,it just hasn't had a label.Ever since the first model T's came off the lines, there have been guys who get a perverse thrill out of thrashing their cars to death in the search for amusement-ride doses of G-force.To me,a car is a means of getting from A to B, unless it is a purpose-built competition vehicle. A well-designed car is a work of art,but I think it's a mistake to treat a road car as a thrill ride.It is shortsighted in the extreme to invest in a car simply because you like to make the tyres squeal.Drifting,in my opinion,is like smashing windows with the Mona Lisa simply because you like the sound of breaking glass.

Until they start bottling up adrenalin and exhileration and selling it at the local grocery store, i'll have to stick with my car as a means of supply.
They say it's to scare yourself once a day. Call me a health nut.
The only reason I dislike the fact that drifting and the 240sx (which is pretty much synonymous (sp?) with the word drift nowdays) have become so mainstream is because: 1) I don't want to have to deal with it when some little ricer thinks he can drift around a corner and clips my "mona lisa" causing irrepairable damage, and 2) I want to eventually buy a nissan, Z32 to be exact, and the car is going to cost a fortune if it becomes mainstream.
BTW: Some street cars are built to perform.

yeah High Rev Tuners, should be High Rice Tuners. that show is equally as bad.
problem is that they market to those 16-17 year old kids (dont get pissy if you're that age and know what you're talking about, we all know the group I mean) who think they have some bad ass car that really just has a lot of shit stuck on it, usually with double sided foam tape, and a big can for a muffler because they think it looks cool.
unfortunately, despite the ever growing, almost exponentially, field of sport compact enthusiasts for all styles, street, race - autoX,drift, drag, etc; and even the lowrider and show cars, everyone trying to market into the market goes for the people who's only mods are the 10 foot wings and 10 inch tips on five inch mufflers.
in a wierd sort of way though, it keeps the true enthusiasts underground so as not to be tainted or cross breeded with the assholes. In a way its almost good in that it seperates the weak from the heard, a sort of sport compact darwinism. the unfortunate side effect is that it makes reproduction of the true enthusiasts difficult.
wow thats deep....in closing....f*ck those super2nr tv yahoos!:thefinger
