1/24 Fujimi Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V GSR Tohge Edition Previous Experience: 0 kits of same manufacturer, 1 kit of another manufacturer Pro's: Fairly Straightforward assembly, not much flash, well designed parts and excellent detail on dash and dials. Very realistic looking exterior, matching all the pictures I could find. Wheels turn which is cool and they come with O-Z Super Turismo rims and Pirelli tires (or tyres for my overseas friends). Con's: Some parts didn't quite fit. The rear lights were particularly troubling. I had to shave off quite a bit. To understand a lot of the exterior (namely panel lines) I had to find external references. A disturbing lack of detail on the interior side of the doors. Applying decals to mesh is extraordinarily difficult! Modifications: I lowered the stock ride height in the front using some rings and shaving some of the top. I painted the interior different colors than the stock version (red and black Recaro's instead of black and grey). Painted much of the underside a different style than called for by the instructions (I made it black and silver and titanium instead of aluminum to make it look better) Conclusion: This is my favorite car of all time and I think it came out much better than my Acura Integra Type R. I had a lot of trouble trying to keep the white exterior clean, but it came out all right. Tamiya Polishing Compound is essential! Back
