1/24 Tamiya Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R Hardtop

1/24 Tamiya Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R Hardtop
This hot-blooded Skyline was launched in February 1969, under the designation GT-R. The 1,989cc DOHC 6 cylinder S20-type engine yielded 160hp max output. In Oct 1970, the original 4-door sedan was replaced with a more sporty, 2-door hard top version. The Skyline GT-R virtually dominated Japanese racing circuits from the late '60s to early '70s.
This was the second of my current batch of models produced and as a result is not up to the standards that I now set myself, and is one model that I wouldn't mind making another of to compare how far I have advanced.
It is a fairly easy model to make with a nicely detailed engine bay and very simple interior to paint and assemble. Being one of the earlier Tamyia models it does not include making for the windows so you are forced either to hand paint or created your own window mask.
This car was released in Japan in only two colours: Silver or white, so if you intend to make a proper replica colour choice is simple.
