1/16 AMT Shelby Cobra 427 This is a 1/16 scale version made by AMT of the Shelby 427 Cobra. It includes parts to build two versions. I chose to build it stock. This was actually built about 6 years ago and placed first in the large scale class of the first contest I ever entered. I cut the velocity stacks on the carbs from aluminum tubing, and made the throttle springs from wires stripped of their insulation. Other modifications included plug wires, brake lines, and flocking added for carpeting. I painted it with plastikote automotive spray, about 12 coats of bright red. It was wetsanded, and polished out with a product called "Nicsand" which seemed to work really well. Back
