1/24 Tamiya Honda Prelude XX
I bought this kit off ebay. It's a Tamiya Honda Prelude XX and it was built box stock. I used Bare metal foil instead of Chrome silver (X-11) for the metal molding around the windows and the side trim. The body was painted with Diplicolor Automotive paint spray followed by Testors Clear. Some of the engine details were accomplished by dry-brushing silver onto a semi-gloss black base. I also glued some black insulation on the underside of the hood which I purchased from Model Car Garage. Overall the kit went together with no major problems. There was a slight fit problem when trying to match up the front bumper with the left fender, but that was easily remedied with some sanding and shaving of excess plastic. The kit comes with complete engine detail and movable headlights. It was a pleasure to put together.
