Turbo Kit, or NOT!?

I've seen the electrical turbo kits for the integra on ebay for anywhere from 60-200 bucks. I assume this is a total rip-off, or just part of the whole kit. I mean if this is real, then why pay 4,000 for a greddy turbo? Also (and i seriously doubt) how much can you actually expect to get from this? Also take a look at this one which is diff than some of the ones ive seen, and let me know your thoughts.

Weather its true or not that they wont work, im not sure.
If you ask me they would have to increase horsepower by a little bit but not much, considering your ECU controls the amount of air that is let into your engine.
But for 25 bucks its worth a shot. I would deff. put a screen on that thing behind the fan to ensure you dont through a chunk of plastic into your engine.

I think it would be better if there was a way that you could adjust the speed of the fan. Like a make a switch so that it isnt constantly blowing into your motor. Make it more like a real turbo, there is only boost when you have the RPMs up. Your not just sitting there running full boost when Idleing. I would imagine that would be bad for your motor. Maybe if you setup a switch in your car that turns the blower on only when your holding the switch in then you could just hit it at WOT, kinda like the bottle. Then you would know if it even makes a difference or not.
Hmm, 25 bucks. Mite have to do a weekend experiment. Shit if it dont work you could always sellf your blower on Ebay hee hee.
Any other thoughts on these things?

it would be very possible to hook up a switch and a varuable unit. you could tap off of the trottle position sensor on your car and set that up to a relay so that when the throttle is open the fan will be turned on, and off when throttle is closed. as far as varying the speed you will need a potentiametor to vary the voltage going to the fan.
the only issue with these fans is if they can actually pump air faster then the engine can suck it. if the fan can't keep up you will actually lose power due to the resitance from the fan blades.

does anybody know how many cfm of air is pulled into the engine of a stock acura integra

well, what do those things do? I think I read ona small turbo one time it said it flowed like a max of 345 cfm or something like that.
just a guess but id say like 175 or so stock if that 345 above is correct

How fast do regular turbo chargers blow.. i dont see how these little plastic tubed fans could make a difference for high performance imports... :bloated:
