2006 GP - Speedometer, Tach, Fuel & Temp max out

I just bought a used 2006 Grand Prix with 60k miles. I did not get an owner's manual. When I start the car, the speedometer, tach, fuel and temp gauges all rotate from zero to max and back to zero, then they go to their normal positions. This all happens in about one second. It all works fine after that, but I was wandering if this is normal. I have 3 months of bumper-to-bumper warranty from the dealer so if there is a problem, I would like to take care of it now. Thanks in advance for your help.

That's normal. It's a thing the manufacturers have added to a lot of new cars lately. I don't know if it was added so you could spot a dead gauge or just because it looks cool.

Nothing to worry about.
