1998 Pontiac Trans Sport Driver Information Center
My car doesn't have the Driver Information Display installed and I was wondering if I can install it. Is there a wiring harness connection hidden somewhere for the display to work? What would I have to do to make a connection?

Installing this most likely would not be worth the headache to make it work..

Re: 1998 Pontiac Trans Sport Driver Information Center
I read that the connection is hidden under the driver or passenger front headliner. I don't think it would be a problem just to screw in a couple of more screws into the roof to attach the bigger console. Please reply if someone has had success doing this or has already done it.

When you say Driver Information are you talking Compass/Temp in the overhead Console?
... Huge difference between that and the DIC Sorry if I have wasted your time |

Yes, I am talking about the overhead compass/temp, trip computer. According to my manual, it is called the Driver Information Center.

Re: 1998 Pontiac Trans Sport Driver Information Center
In most cases the Compass should be either part of the Module or self contained... The Temp portion would require a Temp sensor parked outside on the nose of the van..
The Best thing to look at would be a Service Manual, unless anyone can get you the schematics for the Temp Compass.. Sounds like it would be a pretty simple install.. I am not sure if the Temp/Compass will be interconnected to the Data Bus.. |

Jrs3800 is correct. Also if your Montana did not have the overhead console information center then you are not wired for it. The wiring option was installed on the assembly line.

Re: 1998 Pontiac Trans Sport Driver Information Center
I need a Driver Information Center module for a 1998 Pontiac Trans Sport. Two button design with 9 pin connector. Any suggestions on where to find one?
