My 2006 Sonata 3.3L V6 with 25,000 miles lost power and Check Engine and ESC Off light came on. I was only able to accelerate to about 10 MPH to get home. Called Roadside Assistance and they towed me to dealer. Dealer found codes P02106 and P1295. They replaced Throttle Position Sensor and also updated ECU per TSB # 09-FL-003-1. They also saw an open recal on Stp Lamp Switch per TSB # 09-01-018. It seems like these two TSB's are newer and will affect many Sonatas out there.
Has anyone had this done or had a TPS replaced in this model?
Thanks,
Mark

I Hi Mark!
I am experiencing the same problem with my car. I called the service department at Hyundai and I was told it could be one of two things the Throttle Position Sensor or the Accelerator Pedal Sensor. I truly believe its the Throttle Sensor. My check engine and ESC light stay on and I too can only drive about 10-20mph if I'm lucky. Sometimes I have to pull over and turn the car off for a minute but it will drive properly. The dealer told me they would charge me nearly $1000 to diagnose and fix it so I'm trying to find the part on my own.
