Launched in Singapore on 16 January 2009, the new BMW 7 Series is the result of perfection in design and supreme engineering. For the first time ever, PML is introducing BMW TeleServices, the world's first networking system in the new BMW 7 Series, giving the customer supreme comfort and safety of the highest standard, and bringing customer service to a new level of excellence.
Over 70 control units in the new BMW 7 Series continuously monitor all elements that are crucial to the proper running and safety of the vehicle. In the event that a need for service arises, a toll-free call is initiated automatically without any driver intervention. This data call sends service relevant information to PML who will then analyse the data and contact the customer to schedule a service appointment.
PML is therefore able to determine the need for service in good time, ordering any parts or components that might be required and thus ensure that they are available when the time for service approaches. This keeps the customer’s visit at the workshop as swift and as efficient as possible.
Furthermore, the customer is also informed by PML in advance what type of service is required and how long it will take. This allows the customer to make appointments at exactly the right point in time, fitting perfectly into his personal timetable. As a result, the customer is always able to rely on his car automatically registering for service, without having to keep an eye on dates and deadlines, without making unnecessary telephone calls on possible enquiries, and without having to contact PML for an appointment.
