No, you don't need a new gas tank. You should punch the person that told you that, in the head. Seriously, punch them in the head. If they are from a forum, find out who they are, show up on their doorstep and punch them in the head.

You are however going to need B-series shiftlinkage, B-series axles, a B-series rear mount bracket, and a B-series drivers side mount & bracket.

But why are you getting an OBD2 engine? The ECU isn't going to plug in unless you buy an OBD1 to OBD2 (A or B) conversion harness. You're also going to have to deal with the different connectors on the OBD2 distributor, alternator, and injectors. Not to mention the sensors that the OBD2 ecu are going to look for, that will only be wired from your engine to the shock tower mount, and not the rest of the way to the ecu. Getting an OBD1 engine will make your life a lot easier. This place may be a little more expensive if you want the LSD transmission, but at least you'll know it's from a well known & reliable company: http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000search.cgi?what=page&item=30009
