Hard steering to the right only

Yesterday morning, I started my 735iL, pulled forward out of the garage and as as I went to turn right, the steering was really hard. I turned the wheel to the left and all was normal. Once again, right, hard; left, normal and then as I turned to the right, all returned to normal. As it did it almost felt as if something had broken loose.
It was cold (for Oregon, around 45 degrees F) and it has not returned since. Anyone got a clue?
Thanks

It is normal at higher speeds for the servo to stiffen up the steering, however, it should still remain effortless to turn. At lower speeds, it believe it lightens it up a little, still making it easy and effortless to turn. This is normal.

What you are experiencing is a steering box failure. Lucky for you, it is easier to replace on a 735 than it is on a 750 (see my pics below in my sig of the engine compartment).

Here's more detailed information.
