Excursion ABS

My Excursion started pulsating the brake pedal just recently then the ABS light came on. Ironically the pulsating stops as soon as the ABS light comes on. Any one encountered this problem before? I'm hoping its the ABS sensor and not the unit. Help me please!!!!
