Don't have experience with this amp, but people on here recommend it a lot. http://www.edesignaudio.com/edamps.htm Its the nine.1

Ive heard good stuff about Hifonics, but again i have no personal experience with them.

I like my Memphis PR 300.2, it does a great job of pushing my 2 10 inch alpine type s subs. and the gain is only at half

you want the top companies?
are you really prepared to spend $1500+ for your sub amp?

if not then we need a budget

Tru Tech, IMO, nothing better.... not much more expensive either... for subs their Hammer Head series mono block Class D's are great. 3000w x 1...and thats clean wattage...and are actually putting out 3500-4000w.

Edit:
i also forgot to mention USA amps. i know the guy that owns the company so i gotta do some advertising for him. lol. but they are good amps. or that is what i hear from everyone who has ever owned one.

sr20de.. im only willing to spend about three hundred but most companies make amps that i would be able to find for this price.. especailly on ebay.. this is why i was asking which companies are the most reliable.. because most likely i wont get a good warranty with an amp from ebay so i would like to buy an amp that is pretty bulletproof (or at least wont blow up in the first month) for about 300.. but id like about 1200 rms give or take maybe 200 watts.. people suggested the hifonics brutus 1000 rms (@ 2 ohms) to me before so thats a good possibility.. but thanks for the other suggestions guys ill check out those companies too for sure.

the hifonics 1000 is 1000 rms at 1 ohm, If your looking for a 2 ohm load might want to look at the hifonics 1500 or 1800they run around 250 on ebay w/o shipping.

ok if i end up with the hifonics.. will i be happy with the quality? most people ive heard said that hifonics amps are pretty good quality and are a little underrated usually.. so i just wanted to make sure that the brand is definately worth the money

yeah I would look at the brutus or the eD nine.1

Neither of those are the top, but they should both be solid

a little overrated actually, but they're still solid

what impedance do you need this power at?
the 1500d should do around 13-1400x1 @ 1ohm, and around 900x1 @ 2ohm

i have two 12" kicker dual two ohm L5s.. so i would most likely run in a series for 2 ohm total.. so i would end up runin about 450 rms to each sub.. and they handle 600 rms but i think 450 should be enough to get some good bass out of them right?.. oh yeah and i still have to check out that eD nine

how would you recommend to wire (2) dual 6 ohm subs (jblw12gti) to (1) 2 channel amp stable to 1/2 ohm

Paralelle will give you a 1.5ohm impeadence. that is as low as you will get. Bridge the amp and connect the (+) amp terminal to all (+) VC terminals and the (-) amp terminal to all (-) VC terminals.

mkae sure the amp is stable to the 1.5 ohm load when its bridged the rating may have just been for each channel.
